User Definable Templates

Ultra Librarian Calculator comes with templates for calculating land patterns based on the IPC-782 specification. A template is an ASCII file that, when run by Ultra Librarian Calculator, asks for the appropriate information and then calculates the land pattern. For example, you need to enter different dimensions for a SOIC than you do for a QFP or a PLCC. Each one of these components has a different template.

Since the templates are in ASCII format, you can modify them or create new ones using a simple text editor, like Notepad. Templates provide the ultimate in flexibility. You're in total control of the process. For example, you can modify the output of each component to contain information such as company part numbers, special features such as heat exchange pads, keep-out zones or silk-screened information.
