UltraCalc |
Land
pattern calculator automatically calculates land pattern
dimensions
per IPC-782 specifications |
| |
When
you're building parts, you already know what a pain
it is to calculate the dimensions of the land patterns.
It can be quite a tedious chore, but it has to be done.
Fortunately,
there's a way you can quickly generate the correct land
pattern dimensions you need to build library parts for
any CAD tool. It's called
UltraCalc and it's the most powerful land pattern calculator
available today. |
| |
Look
How Easy It Is |
Here's
a screen shot of the page you would use to calculate
a footprint. You simply enter the data from the manufacturer's
data sheet into the boxes to the left. To the right,
you can see the correct land pattern dimensions in
the drawing. It doesn't get any easier.
Note:
UltraCalc generates the land pattern dimensions that
you need to create a land pattern. It's not a wizard.
Like ALL land pattern calculators, it will not build
the actual land pattern for you. To create the land
pattern, you'll have to enter the dimensions into
your CAD tool and build the land pattern manually
or with a land pattern wizard if your CAD tool has
one.

Are The Types of Land Patterns You Can Calculate |
The

land patterns for a QFP which is just one of the 37
templates available in UltraCalc. Here are some of
the others.

Complies
with IPC-782 Specification |
| The
UltraCalc calculates the dimensions of surface-mount
land patterns according to the IPC-782 specification
and incorporates three-tiers
to accommodate products having different requirements
for reliability, maintainability and board density. |
| |
Ultimate
User Flexibility |
What
if you want IPC-7351 compliance instead of IPC-782?
What if you have to comply with your company's standards
for land patterns? Or if you're a service bureau, what
if you have several clients and they each have their
own standard that's different from everybody else? Not
to worry.
It
doesn't matter what kind of standard you have to follow
because you can modify UltraCalc to calculate land patterns
for it. All this is possible because UltraCalc calculates
land patterns from user
definable ASCII templates. You can create your own
templates or modify existing ones to calculate land
patterns dimenstions for any standard (or non-standard)
you want! If UltraCalc were a hamburger, you'd buy it
at Burger King because you can have it your way. |

We
want you to try it out because when you do, you'll see
that UltraCalc, as powerful as it is, is just one of
the modules of Ultra Librarian. You can get the details
on Ultra Librarian in another section of this website.
We're pretty sure that once you use UltraCalc and see
how useful it is that you'll want to take the next logical
step. With Ultra Librarian, you will be able output
custom library land patterns into various different
CAD formats.
