Thanks for visiting our new Cadence forum. This section will be moderated by Cadence user Mitch Morey.
We are in the middle of translating over the PCBstandards library over to Cadence. A lot of the work has been done and it looks great. We have a number of sections of the library done, and expect to have a fully functional library completed before the end of November.
This will give you footprints to cover just about any industry standard part. Proven quality footprints.
We will continue to work on some sections that will not be included in the initial library release, such as connectors and misc parts.
The metric version of the Cadence library will be linked from our site index and will be available for free to anyone, just like our PADS version of the library. And just like our PADS version, we will offer a CD for your convenience, and documentation with the metric handbook.
Following the release of the metric Cadence library, we will be releasing the inch version of the library. This version will only be offered for sale as a CD with or without a handbook. The inch version will not be able to be downloaded from our site.
Pricing of the inch Cadence library and documetation to be determined. If you want more info, or to be notifed when we release it, feel free to post here, or email me at randy@pcbstandards.com
Thanks!
