My local community college is planning on offering classes in PCB Layout for their Electro/Mechanical Drafting program. They are looking for textbooks, or good reference material.
Any ideas?

I've never read a book that I thought covered PCB design very clearly or completely (or even close).
I'd recommend they have a copy of "Printed Circuit Design" by Coombs.
It's been the bible for pcb design and fabrication related topics for years.
That and a link to this forum!! LOL

I agree with Dave that the "COOMBS' Printed Circuits Handbook" is the industry bible (and the latest Fifth Edition comes with a CD-ROM of the entire book).
But you are looking for a classroom textbook and I will recommend a couple of friends of mine that can help you out.
#1 Glenn Wells teaches at Collin College outside Dallas, TX. He will know of the right classroom text material you will need.

#3 Gary Ferrari is the Executive Vice President of the IPC Designers Council and he is working with colleges to help equip them with current technology training curriculums. I would contact Gary first and hear what he has to say and then go to the other sources.
