We wrote a script which allows you to define the part (also a multigate) using Excel. Excel shines in copy/paste and automatic increments. The script reads the cells and writes PowerLogic parttype and symbol definitions in ascii file readable by library manager.
Especially, if you have fpga pin reports with pin numbers and pin names, they can be easily copy/pasted in Excel.
If there is interest, we might polish the code a little bit (to use new library api) and put it downloadable on web?
This sounds really interesting. We really need a little automation in schematic symbol generation. Please post this nifty Excel Spread Sheet PowerLogic symbol generator so we can kick the tires on it. Standardizing schematic symbols has been an industry weakness. This will reduce duplication of effort.

I have working code but I want to do improve checking.
All comments and suggestions welcome.
This looks like a great product. Now all we have to do is link all the pcbstandards.com library decals with the schematic symbols and we're on a roll.

The code is now quick-tested in several computers. You can use Excel9 or 10 (older versions not tested). Download and have fun for free.
