DFF Audit functions: I've found and reported 11 bugs against it.
- Falsely reporting copper slivers on signal layers.
- Falsely reporting drill-to-pad errors on split mixed planes.
- Not reporting some copper slivers on signal layers.
- Not reporting some mask slivers from copper areas on solder mask layers.
- Not reporting some mask slivers from abutting pads on solder mask layers.
- Not reporting drill-to-mask-annular-ring errors on pins with oval solder mask pads.
- Not reporting pad-to-mask-annular-ring errors on pins with oval soldermask pads.
- Not saving the settings on the Fabrication Checking Setup menu within the pcb file.
- Won't allow you to check both the top and bottom layers at the same time when running the pad-to-mask-annular-ring checks. Two passes are required.
- Won't allow you to check both the top and bottom layers at the same time when running the drill-to-mask-annular-ring checks. Two passes are required.
- The annular ring distances in the Fabrication Checking Setup menu do not refer to the thickness of the annular ring as they should. If you want a 3 mil clearance between a pad and a mask you must set the parameter to 6 so that you will get 3 mils of clearance on each side of the pad.
