View Full Version : Mechanical 3d Design Software for sheet metal

Hoping that one of you PCB designers work for a company that also does sheet metal design. If so, maybe you can forward this to your mechanical designer(s). My question is, between SolidWorks, SolidEdge and Pro/E, what are your feelings, likes, dislikes, recommendations, etc. Appreciate your feedback.

Solidworks is the best tool for doing sheetmetal that I have seen. It adds the bend reliefs automatically and does the flat pattern development very nicely. I hear Parametric's tools are harder to use, cost more, and are more bug ridden...

I would check out Solidworks if I were you.
