Tom
I read your thread about training in China
Have you ever looked into doing a live online training course?
Gotcha

Hi,
As far as a PADS tutorial/guide/reference, this is the place (pcbstandards.com). If you can't find it here, it's not available for free.
As far as other tools? There is nothing I know of online that even compares to this server.
Good luck.
Phillip,
Yes, we are looking into On-Line training. We have so much material to offer that many designers cannot see the forest through the trees.
I have also thought about going out on the lecture circuit.
One of our most important goals is to teach designers all the benefits of using our Start Files and CAM Files. They are completely designed to take advantage of all the features that are built into our libraries. If you're just using our libraries and not the Start and CAM files then you are only 1/2 as productive as you could be.
Also, our AutoCAD tools are extremely valuable for the creation for fabrication and assembly drawings. I used to avoid AutoCAD because of my lack of knowledge on how to use it, but I learned 12 simple commands and that's all it takes to create professional drawings.
Our 2D-Line library is a major productivity enhancer for library construction, dimensioning your board outline and many silkscreen items, but many people do not know how to use this library to its full advantage.
Our library documentation search engine is another key thing that many designers don't quite know how to use to their advantage. It all starts from a simple file called "Library Index.doc" located in the Library Documentation folder. That one file leads to over 1,600 files of library documentation.
We know we need to teach the world how to effectively use the tools and calculators that we created and it's long overdue.
