All,
Does anyone know what the "Incomplete information in part type" error means in PowerLogic? I have a few parts that I get this for but I can't find anything wrong with them.
Thanks,
Ben
Ben,
You would have to attach the Part Type (of one of the problem parts) to this thread. Just Export a problem part type and create a xx.P file with one part type in it. We can then import it into a usr library and evaluate the contents. Also indicate how many pins are in the decal, or export the decal and create a xx.D file and attach it too.

Tom,
I actually found the "problem" and I'm hoping someone from PADS/Innoveda/Mentor/Next... will chime in. All I had to do was to un-associate then re-associate the CAE and PCB decals in the part editor. Now all is fine. I think the more serious question is: Why couldn't I use these parts in the first place? There was nothing wrong with them besides some phantom "Incomplete information." Thing like this are really frustrating!
