View Full Version : Update New Attributes in the Scematic to match Lib

If you wish to update NEW attributes in the schematic to match the library try this.
Open the schematic you are working on and save it as something new(Just in case)

1. Go to Tools/Parts attribute manager
2. Choose add attribute, Then browse Lib Attr
3. Hit the refresh button and choose the new Attribute you have added to your library parts.
4. Click Ok, don’t worry about a value a click ok again.
5. You now should have this attribute assign to all parts in the schematic.

Follow the steps below to update the values of the attribute in the schematic.
1. Open a new powerpcb design
2. Synchronise the schematic with the blank pcb Making sure ‘Include Attributes’ ‘Parts’ Is NOT Ticked in the ole to pcb connection.
3. Now you should have all the correct attributes in the new Pcb file as it grabs the parts from the library.
4. Now go to ‘Include Attributes’ ‘Parts’ in the ole to pcb connection and make sure its ticked.
5. Synchronise from the PCB back to the Schematic.
6. Check though some of your part attributes to make sure it’s worked.
7. Compare it to the original pcb to make sure all the parts have been correctly updated.
8. Synchronise with the original pcb
