For a new mobil phone project (sat/gsm) I have to go from 0402 packages to 0201.
Does anyone has some experience with 0201?
Does anyone know assembly manufactory who are doing high volume production?

Claudia

I personally have not used them yet.
Hopefully someone else can help you.

Can you post your findings here as many of us will be following in your footsteps.

Claudia,

We have not used the RES0603 (0201 English Version) yet so I do not have any history to offer you.
There are several good assembly shops in San Diego that can help you.

Notice that I did not refer you to any sales people. The above contacts are all engineers who know all the answers to any assembly question that you can throw at them. They all know me so you can mention my name if you need to.

Hi Phillip,

Yes I will post in as many findings as I do. But I just started to find out how far the assembly factory really are, means not just what you can read in their high gloss magazine.

Claudia,

I found an article in the September 2000 issue of SMT magizine on 0201 components.
The web site is www.smtmag.com. In the search field type in "0201 components" and it should be the first result.
