Hi All
Anyone out there using heat thermal analysis software.
I am looking for a demo that I can have a tinker with to see what it will do for me.
I have found one called btemp that is interesting but I need to find some others!

Phil,
Go to www.harvardthermal.com. We have TAS which is a general purpose thermal analysis tool and TASPCB which is new to the market and is designed for PCBs. You can download a demo of each at the web site. Please let me know if you have any questions. We do have a local rep in the UK.

I had a quote from them a while back on Taspcb. It was to expensive for us and was only a 1 year licence.
Looked like a good package so i was disapointed.

phillipr,
We use Flotherm here which does a good job but is fairly expensive and it is only a 1 year lisence. I have previewed a lot of them lately. Here are a vew that I really liked, Cool-it, Icepack and CFDesign. The only one that you actually purchase the software and not just a license was CFDesign. It also integrates with Pro/Engineer if that may be something you are looking for.
Someone else also recommended WinTherm & ViewTherm but I haven't had a chance to look at them yet.
