I use AIM. I'm not sure I'd use it for business information with any sensitivity at all since there really isn't any security built in. I guess you could use a third-party encryption program but then everyone you have to comunicate with has to have the same program running. You're right though. AIM, with good security feature, could be a very effective business tool.
