Orcad Footprint

Hello, I'm a newbie to Orcad. I would to know where can I find footprint library. The
included Orcad footprint database is really not complete. A common package as QFP is not in any
library.
Where can I get that kind of footprint?

Fred,

The libraries that you got with the OrCAD is about all you get. You will most likely need to build your own parts. I have seen others use the standard OrCAD parts and they dont work very well in assembly.

There are guidelines posted in this web page for the creation of component footprints. Hopefully they will help.

I am working on how I can convert the existing PADS footprint libraries over to OrCAD. Once that is implemented, we will all be working with the same device padstacks. Wow...What a concept!
