Hello everyone,

what i have now is a board that i've scanned and i need help to replicate. this board is being used in a twenty year old factory and cannot be serviced. A good thing about being old is that its only two layers.
i have 3 of that board:
1 completely destroyed
1 slightly destroyed
1 that is currently working so i can't really use
scan is attached, can someone point me in the right direction?

I've done this in the past for simple 2 sided boards. Import scaned board in to AutoCad (if you have it). Create a board outline and scale the imported board to fit. Draw circles where ever a pad is located then trace all the traces. Export as a Dxf and import into PADS. Place parts in pads over the top of your circles, then add nets. Once all nets are added you can delete the DXF

I have done this over a hundred times for the military (they used to never get artwork, just boards from their contracts).

A through hole board like that is pretty easy. Just measure it out. Make a new board outline. Figure out the parts. Develop a continuity netlist if it makes sense.

Place parts per sample board. Measure as needed.

Manually add traces per sample. Or use netlist if you did that and then route.

Normally I used to charge about $500-600 for a job like this and it would be done in a day.

Sometimes we find it useful to put a table on our schematics with net names and there current requirements. That way when another designer checks the design, they are aware of the nets with special requirements, and check for proper trace widths, and via sizes
