Hi all, I am trying to find out how other Companies represent their connector schematic symbols. Are they drawn to represent the phyisical aspects of the connector body as a whole part, or are they split up into single pin symbols? And if they allow swapping at the allegro level on their connectors?

I do both, depending on the application. Other engineers I work with do the single connector with many pins because it is easier to draw in the schematic editor :o.
Allegro will allow swapped pins, and it back annotates to capture nicely.
