Has anyone put 45 amps on a board? I was looking to go with a 4 layer 4oz copper board. There will be 2 2" sections where I was going to put a small plane strapped together with vias. Do you think this will handle the 45 amps?

Thanks,

I think you'll be fine, use many smaller vias rather than a few big ones, I've designed power backplanes that handled more than 200 amps - all of my calculations indicated that the absolute min temp rise I would get was 40 degrees C, measured under full load 14 degrees C - unfortunately you have to go with your gut on this kind of thing.
