Hi

I need your help again. How could I make (define) countersunk mounting hole for pcb? Thanks in advance

Define? As in a library part? I'll assume library part because that's how i make mounting holes.

So you build a symbol to represent the mounting hole because it will probably need to be either attached to chasis ground or have 1M resistors attached to it to prevent ground loops.

then make the hole. just make a single hole through hole component. there is no real way to show it being countersunk other than u adding it to the description of the part or labeling that on a mechanical layer. (there might be a way, but i'm not aware of that yet) just make the hole size the size u want.. ex. 4-40 or 10-32.

i recommend putting the appropriate silk to account for screw head size or stand off clearence. i hope this is what u are looking for. if not and you are using altium designer 6, go to their wegb site and contact them and they will walk you through what you need. they also have a news service forum.

I would usually set the hole size as the through hole size then define the countersink on your drawing - be prepared to return boards to the board shop for countersinking, I've done many boards with either countersunk hole or counterbored holes - the board shop always misses this step.
