i am using CADSTAR software to design the impedance matching transformer IFT component
as shown in the link below:

i am not very sure about the dimensioning as shown on the below link:

if possible,do you have the symbol part and component part of this impedance matching transformer IFT?

i am looking forward to your replies as soon as possible.
thank you very much:D

Dear Dum,

Usually if you want to create a footprint for through hole part, 1st you must consider the lead of that component. It is better for you to go and find the recommanded footprint from the manufacturer. If you got it, then you can exactly follow the footprint as they already make the pad and hole size bigger. If you can't find it, then you can create the footprint by adding 0.1 to 0.2mm bigger than the lead for your component. Then your pad usually is added 0.2 to 0.3mm. [For through hole - If you want to easily remove your component next time, then you should put your hole bigger (0.2mm).]

example:
lead size= x
footprint = pad size + (lead size + 0.1mm/0.2mm)
footprint = 0.2mm/0.3mm + (x + 0.1mm/0.2mm)

*NOTE 1: To apply the condition above, you should always check your pitch of your component. If your component is very small, then the above condition cannot be use.
**NOTE 2: The above condition is not a standard one as i usually apply to my footprint. This is just a reference for you.
