Schematic Symbol Wizard, the ultimate way to create symbols.
This tool greatly reduces the time it takes to build schematic symbols. Utilize the tool to effectively cut and paste directly from component manufacturer datasheets to create a generic template. Then translate the CSV, Excel or IBS template to Pads Logic and/or DX Designer format. Additional CAD formats are currently being developed by the ProtoCAD Engineering team
The Schematic Symbol Wizard is the solution to the major concerns of PCB design. The software ensures efficiency, timeliness and portability of data. Most importantly, this tool increases speed and accuracy of designs by automating the creation of schematic symbols. It also makes it very easy to migrate from one CAD tool to another by using a generic template.
“By automating a large part of the design process, we eliminated tedious effort and countless possibilities for human error", said Albert Delatorre, Sr. Design Engineer at ProtoCAD Engineering. The user response has been very positive. The Schematic Symbol Wizard software has become a valuable tool for thousands of users all over the world.

The tool saved us several tedious work and time, especially using IBIS files to create the symbols. I downloaded the Intel 80321_IBIS file, the symbol did not show in the graphics window but I was able to import to pads Logic. Is there a limit of hoe many pins a symbol can have?

I don’t believe there is a limit to number of pins. When you import a large symbol , it takes a little longer to view the symbol and if the symbol is too large it might not fit in the graphics window, this will not affect your Power Logic or DX export file.
However, the software was tested in a 600 pin symbol, larger symbols might not be practical to place on a sheet and must be divided in to sections, the Schematic Symbol Wizard is capable of creating multiple gates, hetero symbols including alpha numeric pins.

What's the difference between your tool and LIBeditQ from
http://www.libedit-technolgies.com?

I’m not very familial with libedit, I just glanced thru the spec and I did not see an option to create multiple (hetero) gates and flexibility of attributes such as geometry height. The schematic symbol wizard is much more flexible. You can create a symbol using the power of Excel for sequensing and sorting numbers. The new revision has a duplicate pin number checking as well.
Again I might be wrong, I do not have a demo to try it.

Protocad,
you are correct, the libedit tool does not support multiple (hetero) gates or additional properties. The schematic symbol wizard creates the symbol and the part information including signal pins for Logic and DX designer and has an and IBIS import as well. It depends on your application, I believe the libedit it costs a litle less.

True
I did not see an option of attributes such as geometry height.
False. LibeditQ uses all pads2007 attributes or user attributes.
The schematic symbol wizard is much more flexible. You can create a symbol using the power of Excel for sequensing and sorting numbers. .
False: is it possible to create symbol and parts by import Excel file
Again I might be wrong, I do not have a demo to try it.
False and true: they will have a demo this week.
The price is not the same:
Schematic Symbol Wizard software, valued at approximately $1000.
LIbeditQ $430
I am agree with motorolan1 "It depends on your application" for the choice.
I am waiting for the demo.

Thank you Skip Yutkus for your observation, you are correct.
I’m withdrawing my comments; I spoke too soon with out seeing the demo, we presently successfully using the Schematic Symbol Wizard for PADS Logic and DX Designer.

Hi all,
LIBeditQ "demo" is available.
In fact it's a playback demo but we see how it works.
I prefered a trial version an try it by myself but the tool seems good and
easy to use.
What's you opinion?
