Hello all,

I'm new to the group and have a question regarding hiding/displaying component reference designators. I turned off all ref des and can't for the life of me see how to turn them back on! I'm sure I need to be able to select them, but without seeing them, I can't select them. Catch-22?

Thanks in advance,
DanD

Dan,

Go to SETUP, DISPLAY COLORS.

Pick a color from your pallete and then click on the REF DES column.

I am guessing that you know which layer you had them on?

If not try TOP, BOTTOM, SILKSCREEN (top and bottom) or ASSEMBLY (top and bottom) .

If that fails, apply the color top your TOP layer, then select APPLY TO ALL LAYERS.

Good Luck,
Dave

Hi Dave,

I set each of the items of all of the layers to a visible color. The ref desig's still don't show up. I checked the part models and they are all have the NAME (ref des) set to the TOP layer. This all happened when I hid the ref desig's using the Query/Modify Part Label > Show > None.

Undo what you did by
Query/Modify Part/Label > Ref Des/Show > Value

Ah! That did it. Somehow missed that one completely!

Many thanks.
