New with using Protel.
Have a part that requires an offset drill from the oval pad. How is this accomplished.
Thanks

Method 1:
Build a pad (1) with the right drill size and place it at the correct drill location. Then make another pad (1A) the size of the offset pad.
Place both into your part located as needed. Assign a pin number like 1, 1A to each part and have a hidden pin or shown pin 1A in the schematic or netlist to avoid drc errors on the part.
You will get the correct flashes from the gerber file and the correct geometries this way with no DRC errors.
Method 2:
Build the drilled pads where they need to go.
Place the needed fills & tracks on the top and bottom layers and assign the correct net name to them.
Then add the solder paste and soldermask shapes as needed.
You can do this after or before you make the part.
If you make the part with tracks, you will have to unlock the part edit the net name and then lock the part again to do this. Sort of a major pain in the rear, however you can then move the part and everything will move with it.
