I am using PADS Version 3.6 and sending the output to a Oce' TDS400 plotter. The plotter hangs up when Plotting from PADS and checking the "Plot WIndow" box under the Plot Options window.
The file has a "B" size format, and the file is windowed in on the PCB with the window slightly larger than the "Home" limits.
The same setup works OK with a Ricoh Aficio 650.
Can anyone explain why this happens, and /or suggest a potential solution?
Ron,
I noticed that no one responded to your post and that is probably because no one has a similar situation as you do with your Oce' TDS400 plotter and Ricoh Aficio 650 combination. That in conjunction with the fact that very few people use the "Plot Window" box under the Plot Options window. Have you switched to PowerPCB V4.0.1 yet? I'm courious if the problem still exists?

Plotter? As in pen plotter?
Mine was sitting collecting dust for at least five years , so I finally stored it in the attic. If fact, I think it's been more like ten years. Ever since there has been 11x17 laser printers and gerber viewers.
I do remember doing a board for an engineer a couple of years ago, and he actually took the board plot and compared it to the printed schematic, pin by pin, on a light table yet. Really surprised me. I hadn't seen that in years.
Whatever you're comfortable with I always say.
