Hello,
I'm new user for PADS Logic (2005 SP2) and have some questions after I try to resolve them by myself, but without success.
- If I try to connect to a bus straightforward is not possible - you cannot tie to the bus in "normal" way - but if I make a small corner and try to attach again, no problem ? Is this a bug, or make something completely wrong ?

- I want to add bidirectional off page symbol. Go to off page library, add new symbol, save in library and update from Tools - Update off page from library and ... no success.

Can somebody help about this?

PowerLogic follows the standard that a BUS connection be made with an angled tie in, to help show that this is different than a normal connection.

A normal net connection will share a single net name. A BUS connection will be a net name of the BUS family of names.

You can change the angle in your SETUP - PREFERENCES. See Design Tab. Bus Angle Offset. You can set it to 0

As far as the offsheet indicator. Can you tell me more about what you mean by "go to off page library?" Where is this? I think the proper method is:

TOOLS, PART EDITOR. FILE - OPEN
Click on OFF PAGE under OFF PAGE TYPE BOX
Click on OK. You will see current off page options.
Click Edi Electrical. In box, click on ADD.
Add new name.
Select the text box under the pin type. Choose EDIT. Select the PIN TYPE.
SAVE

Hello Randychase,
About bus - I manage do to it, but in Setup there is no Preferences. There is only Tools - Options. Strange is that every 5-6 connection to the bus gives me this problem, if I make some turn with connection - it can be tied to same bus without problems. Very annoying sometime.

About off-page - exactly as you described. And after this update from off-page library - TOOLS - Update Off-page from Library, but no success.

Thanks anyway - if you have more ideas about this, please share them. How it is in San Diego - I was there this june, it is a nice place!

Regards,
Dimitar
