View Full Version : Converting .asc format to protel pcb.

Hello,
I am new to this forums. I wish to convert a footprints which LTC given in there site. ( http://www.linear.com/designtools/packaging/footprints.jsp )
for example QFN38UHF5X7.asc to to protel pcb layout or Library.
I am using Protel99 se. I do not know how to convert these ascii files to one that I can read it with protel sw.
Or may be I should use another sw tools to do this convertion.
Pleas help me.

The footprints from that site are in Pads 2004 Spac1 format - your version of Protel is probably too old to import them, but you can try - you would import them as a Pads ascii board file - and from there save them to your library.
