Hello everyone,
Does anyone know where I can find PCI connector decals? Just trying to save some time.
Thanks,
Steve Ortega

Steve, the standard board outlines include the PCI connector. Or did you mean the one on the backplane? Have you looked at our connector libraries?

Steve,

Look in the pcbstandards.com AMP library under the following decal names: (updated 2/18/02)

145154-120 = through hole 5V/32bit
11299-120 = through hole 3.3V/32bit
145098-120 = SMT w/numeric pins
145098-120A = SMT w/alphanumeric pins
PCI3V-32BIT
PCI5V-32BIT

If you're looking for PCI Edge Connectors, look under "Standard Board Outlines". There are 12 PCI Standard Boards for 3.3V & 5V and 16, 32, 64 Bit and Universal formats.

Thanks guys,
It was the backplane connector I was looking for.
You know, I pulled out the USB board in my computer and found the silkscreen to be the opposite pinout of the parts in the Amp library. I'm wondering if the silkscreen on my USB board is incorrect. Is there an easy way to double check this.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Steve Ortega

Steve,

The 5V & 3.3V are opposite of each other. The 5V has the small edge connector tab on the right side and the 3.3V has the small edge connector tab is on the left side.

Tom are we sure the PCI connectors are accurate?

One of my engineers pointed out that the 3.3V connector appears to have some significant problems when compared to the Intel Spec.

For example the A and B side appear reversed and pins 12 and 13 should not be there and all greater number of pins should be incremented by 2. (I'll send more details via email)

Gary,

Thanks for the heads up. I created two new connectors for the AMP library called PCI3V-32BIT & PCI5V-32BIT just to eliminate some of the confusion. Please download the latest AMP library that will be posted on pcbstandards.com 2/19/02 (Dated 2/18/02).
