Hi,

Does anybody know how to pass Net Class information from Orcad-CIS to Pads Layout? I need to Know the following:

1. What property name must be used in the property editor in Orcad for a net?

2. What do you call your net class's in OrCad?

3. How do you set up spacing and width criteria for those net class's in OrCad?

4. How do you describe the clearance rules between net class's, in OrCad

5. After all that, How can you netlist it all to a Pads Layout accepting ascii file?

Please help somebody, I don't want to have to buy a 3rd party piece of software like PCBNavigator to accomplish this.

Regards,

The PowerNet netlister supports net rules now, but not classes yet. You must use the PADS syntax for the rule names and the rule value units need to be enter in the same units as the default rule set file. You only need to enter rules for nets with rules different then the default set, those are pulled from a default rule file, usually default.asc. You can get the latest version here:
