Hi all,
Been away from PowerPCB for a few years, but have some work now and am cranking it back up. I have v3.51, and am not recalling details on how to deal with copper pour outlines.
By that I mean, I create the outline and assign the net, the pour goes okay, and everything is fine with rules checks, etc.
The problem comes around when I want to turn off the pour, and leave the outline visible. I don't seem to recall or find the method for doing that. What I am having to do to get by is select the shape, and delete the copper that way, which may suffice for getting it out of the way so I can view the board easier, but it does not leave me with an outline that I can edit, enlarge, shrink, or alter in any manner.
In my failing memory, the file save deletes the copper, and when I opened the file again, it would have just the outline visible, so I would have to run the 'hatch' command. What I am seeing here is the file opens, and the outline is actually the edge of the pour, which cannot be edited.
Guess I went to long without using it, as some stuff is just not coming back fast enough :-)
Anyone know the way to do a copper pour, and then turn off the copper, and be able to edit the pour outline?
I appreciate any advice or comments.
Thanks,
John
