D2pak/dpak

I have an Engineer that wants me to compose a D2PAK/DPAK land pattern that will except one or the other depending on assembly variants. What are your thoughts on this of both cases.

I think it is very doable. The differences are quite minor.

Without going into too much detail, it looks like you can just use the D2PAK and increase the pad width and change the offset so it matches the DPAK. Your other option is to lay the two parts on the board, making sure you connect the pad respective pads together in ECO.
