Anyone out there using this for schematic capture? I have a customer that uses it and I an curious about the netlist formats you can output.

Hi,
I used It with Ultiboard
but it suposely can export netlist to orcad layout P-cad and protel.

But I doubt I t works very well. I had a small design with 250 nets and some where missing when translation from multisim to Ultiboard.

The ratnest was not complete.

I use Ulticap and Ultiboard, and was having that exact problem. It turns out that there are TWO "Export" functions in Ulticap: one is for "Ultiboard" and the other is "Ultiboard 6." When you export in the Ultiboard format, you get a message saying something like "Ultiboard 5 export complete." I assumed that since 6 is greater than 5, "Export to Ultiboard 6" is the correct function.

Nope. Use "Export to Ultiboard" and all is well.

Multisim is an electronic Schematic Capture and simulation program which is part of a suite of circuit design programs, along with NI Ultiboard. Multisim is one of the few circuit design programs to employ the original Berkeley SPICE based software simulation. Multisim was originally created by a company named Electronics Workbench, which is now a division of National Instruments. Multisim includes microcontroller simulation (formerly known as MultiMCU), as well as integrated import and export features to the Printed Circuit Board layout software in the suite, Ultiboard.
