blank allegro brd file

I have set up a bunch of fab and assy drawings while working on my latest board for use on future designs. My questions is how do I go about getting rid of all the component info?

Capture will not allow me to import a blank design.

I figured out a way.
I simply modified an existing component(deleted pins, footprint, etc) and added it to a blank design and pulled it in. It appeared to have worked.
