Hi Guys,

I have a to make a part/decal that has pins 1-12 on one side and pins 13-24 on the other side. Both sides are overlapping and Surface mount.

Now the decal editor allows you to make a part by setting drill size to zero and keeping the the same desired pad seizes on either side. The problem is that both sides have the same numbering.

To repeat,I need pins 1-12 to exactly overlap pins 13-24 so that I may use a 24 pin symbol in my Orcad Schematic to describe it.

Rgds,

Kenelm

Don't use padstacks to make this work.

Each pin will only exist on it's own layer.

Pin 1 on top, pin 13 on the bottom.

Hi,

Am still confused. The PADS decal editor does not allow you to place pins on both top and bottom (Or can it?).

If I don't use PADstacks then how can I place Pads on both sidesand number them differently?

Please suggest a solution.

Yup! :)

That is how you make edge card connectors.
