Hello All,

I want to check design rule check (DRC) b/w line to line in PCad 2002. Problem is that Pcad 2002 dont give DRC if lines of SAME net are less apart than the value set in Design Rule. For example, I set line to line DRC as 30 mils. If any two lines having same net are less than 30 mil apart then Pcad 2002 will not flag error. It will give DRC if these lines contain different nets.
Actually when we have lot of equal routing in our design, and we give our traces extra bends Up & Down and Left & Right by running traces parallel to itself and parallel to other traces (somewhat U shape) to get the desire length. After the design completed, there is no way to check that distance 30 mil is also maintained b/w traces of same net in Pcad 2002.
SO anybody know the solution of this problem? I have to manually check each trace which will take lot lot of time.

Thanks,
Ali!

Hi Alibaba,
try to use grid set to (linewidth + clearance) in manual drawing. No other idea sorry.

Sorry to sound so negative, but for what you want to do you need a higher-end tool IE: Cadence Allegro, Mentor Expedition, they will allow you to assign same net rules as well as define delay tuning parameters.

Hi Ali,

Place poly can be used to connect nets with the same name. The names have to be id in the poly and schematic. Kind of detailed so be better to read the helps.
