PowerPCB 4.0 was released over 5 months ago and is being very well received by you, our customers. We thank you for the positive feedback so many of you have sent us regarding the new features delivered in this release and the productivity gains many of you are achieving by implementing them in your design process.
PowerPCB 4.0 was a very large release affecting many areas of the program. As with any release, there are defects that need to be fixed. I am pleased to announce that PowerPCB 4.0.1 is now available for download on the Innoveda website at http://www.innoveda.com/support/updatesanddownloads.asp .
The goal of this release is to correct critical defects that are preventing you from taking full advantage of the new functionality in this release, or those that may give you reason to question the integrity of your PowerPCB database. Almost 75 defects will be corrected in the PowerPCB 4.0.1 release. The major areas of focus are associated with corrupt databases, ECO/ECOGEN, Decal Library, and CAM. A complete list of defects corrected in this release is available on the website.
For our PowerLogic customers, PowerLogic 4.0.1 is also available as a web update.
