Orcad symbols

Why does Allegro want the pin names on an OrCad schematic symbol to be different? ie: VCC1, VCC2 etc. Someone asked me why PowerPCB does not care about this, but Allegro does? Does it have something to do with simulation?

In Capture, if you select the pin type as Power (instead of passive or something else) then you do not need to name them VCC1, VCC2 etc., you can name them all VCC, GND or whatever you like. When you select the pin type Power, make sure the 'Pin Visible' box is checked as I have heard it can cause problems if you have some of them visible and some invisible.
