Texas Instruments needs to hear from Orcad users. Please visit their site at

http://focus.ti.com/general/docs/symfoot/downloadsymbolfootprint.tsp?orderablePartNumber=SN65LVDS122DR&downLoadType=footprint#
A popup window titled: Available Footprints for Part will appear. In this window, click on Suggest Additional Formats, and check the Orcad box.

Once this page loads, scroll down to Pricing/Packaging/Samples, and look for the footprint column. Click on the blue/black square and a popup Available Footprints for Part window will appear. In this window, click on Suggest Additional Formats, and check the Orcad box.

Sure would be nice to get some signal instead of noise.

Perhaps "Cad" could post a web page with dedicated java database translators which take any (or is "most" good enough?) library formats and output in a different library format. Cad, try doing this in your spare time, or when you are laid off next.

Actually Michael that's exactly what the former pcbstandards.com groups is attempting to do. The full IPC-7351 land pattern library will get ported to XML which then will allow you to import it into Orcad Layout (assuming Cadence supports the XML format used). :)

I had created the SMTPlus land patterns for Allegro, then another 'master library' came out, now IPC-7351. I only create the lib parts I need now. I've got at least 5 CDs full of schematic parts/allegro footprints that I can pull from. What's the master? Whatever I deem to use.

I don't want to get down on what's being developed, but I've created way too many footprints for too many companies, and nothing's perfect.

Happy Holidays.
