Has anybody seen any bugs(features) in the latest version of Layout and Capture yet? I have seen one update for ODB++ so far.

After years of working with Rev.9.x.x; we upgraded to Version 10.0 and have multiple problems.

The most disturbing problem has occurred during the back annotation from layout to schematic.

Be sure to view your .swp file and make sure the correct design file and path on there. When creating a new revision from an existing design, it seems the .swp file does not get updated correctly as it did in Rev 9.x.x.

It has also shuffled my reference designators since then even after I verified the file path and names.

I have not ruled out an error on my part....but to my own defense, I had done this literally hundreds of times in version 9 without issue.


Third party support was friendly but useless. I discovered the .swp file issue on my own.

I understand the first layout patch is coming within the next couple of months.

Look at the Orcad forum and see the crap the designers are posting about. Problems that rev 9.xxx never had are now part of the package. I have no idea what those idiots are doing. I actually uninstalled the latest version and went back to a stable 9.2.
