Veribest as it was faced a major challenge when it decided to change the whole look and feel of its product and move away from its Mircostation based VB98 to its new incarnation of Expedition PCB.

While VB98 looked sleek and the bees knees in PCB design it unforntunately steered like a cow, nevertheless it did the job, and many of the mechanical features were very useful.

VB99, was not worth the CD it was burnt onto, but 2000 and so on have come along in leaps and bounds.

My bug bear with all of this, is the extortionate cost of ownership and having to pay all over again for what I had in VB98.

Its now nearly 4 years down the line, and Expedition is still not a like for like replacement for VB98.

I like the Expedition series tools, they are very easy to use, I just wish I did not have the feeling that I have been ripped off in a Turkish bazaar.
