CADENCE PCB 15.0 RELEASE MAXIMIZES PRODUCTIVITY WITH EVEN TIGHTER INTEGRATION OF ALLEGRO AND SPECCTRA

Automating tedious tasks is the name of the game in PCB design. One way to accomplish this is through real-time plowing and healing of dynamic positive shapes in Allegro. It's all part of the new 15.0 PCB and IC Packaging design solutions from Cadence.

Cadence is the industry's most complete and powerful solution for complex, high-speed design. Release 15.0 significantly boosts the ease and flexibility of constraint-driven design, with dozens of time and money-saving solutions.

The PCB 15.0 release includes:
- PCB Librarian Expert
- Concept HDL
- Allegro
- SPECCTRA
- SPECCTRAQuest

15.0 Release Features: Allegro and SPECCTRA

NOW PLACEMENT AND ROUTING UPDATES ARE SIMPLY AUTOMATIC

Tired of updating shapes? The dynamic positive shapes upgrade in Allegro expands the ease of shape creation and editing, virtually eliminating the time-consuming process of manually updating plowing and healing during placement and routing. Just as impressively, SPECCTRA supports all of the new dynamic shapes functionality in Allegro.

More time-saving integration is found in the new differential pair functionality of Allegro. Differential pair constraints can now be applied through ECSets or net level properties in Constraint Manager. Interactive routing allows users to route two nets that simultaneously adhere to differential pair rules and intelliUSE routing preferences. And yes, SPECCTRA is aligned to fully support the differential pair features in Allegro. New features include:

ALLEGRO:
- REAL-TIME EDITING and auto updating of dynamic positive shapes.
- INTERACTIVE ROUTING and DRC support for differential pairs, including a time-saving, heads-up display of actual and estimated values.
- NEW STATIC TEST FIXTURE LAYER provides the luxury to reuse a test fixture, saving greatly on the time and costs to rebuild.
- SPECCTRA "BY PICK" means you can access key features of SPECCTRA and perform quick, simple, and efficient updates without ever leaving Allegro.
- DRC SUPPRESSION hides large numbers of DRC errors that can falsely appear due to fine-pitch components' pin-to-pin spacing.

SPECCTRA:
- LAYER SETS allow you to define layer pairs so they route only to certain nets or busses, such as those with similar impedance.
- DYNAMIC POSITIVE SHAPES support for improved autorouting efficiency.
- DIFFERENTIAL PAIR features work in conjunction with the new differential pair functionality in Allegro.
