Is there anyone out there using DxDesigner? I just got a demo and am trying to use it (the learning curve apparently is bad, I was using PowerLogic). Is there any way to use my middle mouse button to zoom in and out of my schematic like in PowerPCB?

Innoveda Achieves Record Ship of Front-End Design Tool

12,000 Copies of DxDesigner Issued Last Month to Meet Customer Demand
MARLBORO, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 20, 2001--Innoveda, Inc. (Nasdaq: INOV - news), a leading provider of electronic product design software and services, today announced it reached a major milestone in shipping 12,000 copies of its browser-based DxDesigner(TM) front-end engineering design solution during November. DxDesigner enables geographically dispersed teams to work together to capture, verify and simulate their designs. In the company's history, this is the largest number of copies of front-end tools shipped during a single month.

Rick Almeida, vice president of marketing for Innoveda's Product Realization Group, said, "Innoveda's web-based DxDesigner solution takes a whole new approach to front-end design by addressing all aspects of circuit design and simulation, component selection library management, constraint definition, project management and team-based design within a single integrated solution. This 'design definition' approach places Innoveda in the top position in the industry in web-based, board-level design functionality. It appears to resonate well with customers, who appreciate having much more than just a point tool for schematic capture. Their quick adoption of DxDesigner resulted in record shipments during November."

According to Dick van Hees, CAE Manager of ASML, The Netherlands, "As a leading provider of Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment, the complexity and number of PCBs we're dealing with is increasing dramatically. This impacts the number of design teams that must work together to create our final products. We turned to Innoveda's DxDesigner tools for help in integrating these teams because DxDesigner works the way we do. By actively supporting our design methodology, DxDesigner maximizes our ability to define, manage and exchange data consistently, taking our design process to the next level and increasing the level of integration among our widely dispersed design teams."

Efficient Design Flow Solution

Using DxDesigner, engineering design teams with members in diverse locations coordinate their efforts by using a centralized, corporate-approved parts library that distributes information among purchasing, component engineering, manufacturing and design engineering teams. The use of advanced hierarchical design techniques enables common or standard subsystems to be reused in future designs, speeding delivery of next-generation products.

DxDesigner also provides electronic engineers with a way to find, test and eliminate signal-integrity (SI) problems in the first printed circuit board (PCB) spin. The solution can analyze PCB nets for potential SI problems and develop physical design constraints based on the analysis to help ensure an end product that works correctly the first time.
