What are the rules (layout guidelines) that must be followed while routing the PCI card?. Based on PCI card, what are the rules (layout guidelines) that must be followed while routing the other signals and component placement?. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I am having a problem with the PCI spec in reference to the PCI fingers. I have followed their recommended finger edge connector dimensions and we are finding that when plugged into a PCI connector we are only getting contact on the lower 1/8" of the pad and due to the 20 degree bevel some boards are working themselves out of the connector. I have verified all dimensions to the PCI spec. When looking at other vendor PCI boards we see that they are using longer fingers which are situated closer to the board edge with less angle on the bevel. Can anyone give me a clue on getting this problem solved? Thank you!
