We're looking for some people that are out of work that would be able to volunteer some of their time to upgrading the standard library documentation.

Currently, we have Excel Sheets that are linked to hundreds of PDF files and they need to be linked to website URL's instead.

This would provide three great features:

1. You would always get the latest PDF file. For instance: Molex just upgraded all their component documentation to the metric system, but we still have PDF files from two years ago.

2. It would eliminate the need for you to store hundreds of PDF's and help data storage space.

3. It would aid in tracking component obsolescence. Normally a component manufacturer closes the links to obsolete parts or posts an obsolete sign on the data sheet.

The more people that volunteer, the lighter the work load for everyone. Our goal is to keep a free library and library documentation available for public download, but we need some help from time to time updating the quality for everyone’s benefit.

Drop me a line if you're interested. I will delegate work according to the amount of time you have to offer.

Thanks,

Tom,

In addition to the URL linking to the datasheet let me also suggest:

Lets add a search engine, for example:

BGA 438 pins 1mm

The above request would return something like:

<yourlandpatternname1>

438 Pin Ceramic BGA 1mm Pitch 1.45 x 1.45 inch

Intel I2768; Bur Brown BB2345K-C04; National
Semiconductor GL88500B-KA

<yourlandpatternname2>

438 Pin Ceramic BGA 1mm Pitch 1.50 x 1.50 inch

Texas Instruments SN74F386-HOT

The first line is your land pattern name.
The second line is a list of IC Part Number that
would use this land pattern.

You might say entering IC number is impossible and that
is correct but still add the field and search, if it catches on
then you would really have something.

I have the search engine and the database is trivial.

Give me a call at 410-821-1315

Thanks,
Bob Kondner
