Hi,
My company is in the mid of choosing between Powerpcb and Cadstar for pcb design.
Can someone provide your valuable comments and comparison between these 2 software.
My personal preference is Powerpcb but due to some old design files which was done previously in Casdstar which we might not be able to edit if we choose Powerpcb.
Area that I am accessing are :
1) The market share (% of user) for the software.
2) Ease of use for schematic and layout software.
3) Interface to other CAD software, eg autocad,Pro-E etc
4) Documentation generating like Partlist, autoplacement x-y co-ordinate, gerber, nc drill etc.
5) Features, Pro and cons of the software.
6) Conversion of Cadstar file to Powerpcb.
7) Or any other areas.

Thanks.

Best regards,
PL
