Does anyone have a good board house they could recommend? Recently, we've been having little red flags go up that tell us we need to look elsewhere. We're specifically looking for a vendor that will work with Getek on prototype and small production of 1000 at a time.

TIA

Does it have to be near you or are you willing to use a board shop on the west coast?

Have you looked at Hallmark? They help sponsor this forum.

Scott,

We do have a list of PCB manufacturers in the Site Index at this URL:

http://www.pcbstandards.com/downloads/Metric%20Environment/General%20Documentation/PCB%20Contacts/PCB%20Services%20Info%20Bank/

It's a bit out of date due to plant closures all over the place, but it is a list that was comprised of referrals only. The list even contains the person who referred the fabrication shop.

Download it and check it out.

We use Hallmark Circuits in Poway, CA. They have never screwed up any of our boards and they're always on time. They have all the exotic materials and the latest manufacturing equipment. They even have Rick Norfolk - 858.513.2200 or rickn@hallmarkcircuits.com, who is an engineer that will help you with any manufacturing issue under the sun - no charge for advice.

I highly recommend Metro Circuits in Rochester, NY. They consistently produce outstanding PWB's for us and they are frequently early with their deliveries (and that's not because they aren't busy!).

I recently submitted a very dense 4-layer board with split/mixed planes, combination hard and soft gold, very specific mechanical requirements, etc. They produced a perfect board. Certainly, their silkscreen is the best I've seen, totally readable even at the smallest sizes. Their prices are extremely competitive. Here's their address:
