Mentor Expedition PCB Autorouter configuration ??

Hi all,

I would like to know how to configure Mentor Expedition's autorouter to get best results ?

Can someone send me pdf files or give me a detailled explaination ? I would like to be able to get the best result from this tool in order to shorter layout times... and also avoid EMI/SI concerns... can we emit EMI rules ?

That' s a loaded question there.
In performing our PCB Design Services, we've typically found that it is better to do it in piecemeal. The nets in your design should be assigned a net class and then each net class can have different rules applied to them. eg. greater clearances for your EMI net class. We typically hand route the critical signals or route in autorouter one net class at a time to allow for a visual review.
