Is there any way to pass the constraints without using Precience?

In the download section, there is an Orcad netform called Powernet.exe. It handles attribute passing very well.

I have tried to run PowerNET.exe after I download it and get a Run-time error '53': file not found: usernetl. What am I doing wrong?

Despite it's extension, this isn't a stand-alone program. When creating a netlist in Orcad, select this program in the Formatter window, instead of the netlist you were using, then create the netlist.

Thanks for your help David. It works great.
Does anyone know of a way to pass design rules from an orcad schematic to pcb design? It would be nice for the EE to be able to place some design rules into the schematic that gets passed to me through the net list. I think PowerLogic can do this as well as Protel DXP.

Guys,
Where'd you find the download area to get PowerNet?
Thank.

It is located in under the site index in Vbscripts
_http://www.pcbstandards.com/downloads/Metric%20Environment/Padspwr/OrCAD%20Netlister/
In the download directory, with PowerNet.exe, there are three padspwr?.dll files. Are these required to run PowerNet.exe? If so, where do they need to reside?
Thanks.
RLS
RLS,
No, the OrCAD .DLL files are not required to run PowerNet.
The .DLL files are simply Netlist Extractors that create the correct "Netlist Header".
They reside in the folder:
OrCAD / Capture / Netforms
Then when you're in OrCAD when you select Tools / Create Netlist / Other, the .DLL files will be there as a netlist option.

Hello, I have a question regarding this matter:
PowerNet seems to work fine, because there is additional information in the netlist file regarding Values like:
PART R6
{
"PCB Footprint" RES_STANDARD
"Value" 1K
}
My question now is how do I get Pads to use this additional information?
I already placed a Label in the resitor decal with the name "Value"
and also the part has a attribute with the same name.
But I can't see the additional label (besides the Pads help file is really bad regarding netlist format {or I didn't find it} , would be nice to know the exact netlist format to be able to tweak it.
I appreciate help on this.
Thanks
Franco
BTW I use PADS 5.0.1

If you are using the Compare/ECO Tools method, be sure that a Compare Attribute check box is enabled.

Thanks, that was the missing point.
Now I found out, that I don't have to add the label in the decal, if I need only some of these attributes on the Silkscreen Layer.
The needed Label can be activated under 'Add New Label' in the Selected Component RMB-Menu.
Thanks for your help.
