I have one layer pcb board(bottom layer). I want to print it but i don't see holes in printouts. Why are all pad and via holes filled? What can i do ?
best regards

I have never been able to make a print from PowerPCB that shows the "Drill Hole". There's no CAM option for printing Drill Holes. If you find a way, please let me know.

POWERPCB has been my favorite tool after using a lot of eda tools. Maybe this is little important detail according to some people. But this problem is killing me unfortunately.

Don't give up, there are work-arounds for everything.

If you don't use Layer_25 for anything, you can add Layer_25 to all your through hole padstacks and make the pad size on Layer_25 the same as your drill size. Then add Layer_25 to your CAM output with a different color or gray scale.

I don't know if this works, but it sounds good.

It could be done if you are running Cam350 or pretty much any other Cam software - just create a composite layer using the drill and the layer you want to print.

i have to work with only POWERPCB because of my company. By the way i think an EDA tool should complete all levels of design. This is very comical thing that POWERPCB does everything very well and powerfully but the end of design is disappointment. a few question to engineers of POWERPCB:
1-why can't we delete default layers of pads?
2- why don't all pad shapes have inner diameter size ?

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL HELPS SO FAR. But if you have a clue please let me know.

PowerPCB has three default padstack layers:
Mounted Side
Inner layer
Opposite Side

You cannot delete these, but you can turn the value to zero "0".

As far as the Inner Layer pad, you can put a value and it will be OK for the signal layers but for the plane layers you should always set the Parameters/Pad Style/Antipad & Thermal to a custom number or PowerPCB will use it's default value and it's normally too large. See the picture below.
