From Ed Current-
Somethings in PLogic that costs me quite a bit of time:
Frustration: Inability of displaying 'some' netnames (currently all or
none).
Event: Upon naming a net in PPCB, the schematic is then ECO'd. This turns on
ALL netnames which makes the schematic unreadable in areas. Turning off
netnames means the loss of off page indicator netname visibility.
Frustration: Inability of updating parttype attributes in PLogic. Ascii
in/out does not include attributes.
Event: To update attributes; Ascii in/out the SCH, send the netlist to a
blank PCB, Ascii in/out the PCB (to get the attributes), ECO the SCH, Rename
ALL THE I/O pins which now have changed value labels. (Suppression of some
refdes [i.e. P1 - P28] would allow faster updates).
Frustration: PL Decal Editor does not maintain snap to grid.
Event: To create a nice clean CAE decal graphic, snap to grid must be reset
AFTER EVERY COMMAND! ARRRGHH!!

From Mark Venneman
The bug I would most like to see fixed is in PowerLogic. Whenever you start
deleting address and data busses, database corruption is inevitable. My
colleague here has stopped using them in favor of off page connections. At
least they don't cause database errors with the accompanying hassle of
sending in the file for repair.

From Hawker-
Also in Plogic I used to be able to open it more than once (useful if I
am comparing two schematics).
Now I can do it, but I get an error about some macro script being in use
(somehow related to MLK command methinks).
And since I'm at it what is the "Lava Client" In Plogic 5.x?
It's grayed out on my install but I though there were not option layers
on Plogic?
The help command didn't give much info.

The only safe way to run 2 schematics, prior to 5.0, was to copy the exe and
ini files to another name and run that one. Otherwise the when going off
into libraries the backup files would get mixed up and overwrite the work
you were doing. It may solve your problem.

It would be a nice enhancement if all the known bugs were fixed.
Some of them have been there for years, and constantly cause a waste of everybodys time. New users have to discover them all over again.
So come on Mentor, fix them!

I would like to see "Class" become part of the standard PCB or Layout program to enable the ability already there in Logic to be able to be pushed through to any level of PCB.

Deeper zoom. PPCB can zoom in to a ridiculous level, but PLogic is left wanting.
More colors! Every CAD program I have ever used in a Win32 environment allows at least 256 colors, most of them allow up to the limits of the graphics card. 32 is a joke!
Colored nets (you know, kinda like PPCB), especially useful if they would transfer to PPCB.
Better grid definition. It's really sad that I can't set a grid of 25 in PLogic.
