I'm a fresh POWERPCB 5 and POWERLOGIC 5 user. I see my pcb future with these tools. So I wish to create 150-200 components and their individual footprints (I think you name decal).
Please explain me how i make my special libraries. It can be basic but step by step.
Thanks so much for this help.
Best regards...

The first thing is to understand how the PADS library database works. It is a database with linking.
The top level is PART TYPE. This references a PART DECAL and a CAE DECAL. It can reference alternate DECALS. The beauty of this is that you can create one decal such as a DIP14 and use it over and over for many ICs.
To create a DECAL, please review the documentation we have on our site index. Look under General Documentation, Library Construction Basics. There are four documents.
We don't really go over PowerLogic. It's handled differently and it sure is a little confusing the first few times. If I have some time, I will try to go over it.
One of the best tools you can use that explains everything about Decal Construction is the SMD Calculator. It has all kinds of pictures and diagrams that explain "How To Build a Decal".
To create the Part Type, we normally copy an existing Part Type from the same component family and exchange the Decal Link and update the Attributes.

Thank you so much for startpoint. I have got my special libraries now. As you said principles of library is so important.
But i add a part in powerlogic they come with default attributes. For instance i want their some attributes to be invisible. yes i change their attributes during design. but i want this to be when i add part.
Thank you very musc for helps and so sory my bad English.
