How to convert Protel PCB file to PADS pcb?

The best way we have found how to do this is through a CAM350 translation. You can do it two ways:
1. Bring the Protel Gerber Data into CAM350 and output (Export) PADS data.
2. Import the Protel ASCII data into CAM350 and export ASCII PADS data.

There is no Protel database to PADS database conversion program that I know of.

Actually, Protel 2.8 reads PADS, I forget which version.... and saves in Pads format. The expert on that activity is :

Ask him about it. He has done it for years... He used to do work for us in Temecula and did his layouts in Protel and converted them to Pads so we could have the database in our Pads format for archiving. That was before we purchased Protel and gave up using Pads. (that's another story)
